Hook, Line, & Sinker (Hard Hats Book 2)

Hook, Line, & Sinker (Hard Hats Book 2) - Piper Vaughn I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Castor McCormick and Blake Kowalski grew up in the same neighbourhood. They spent most of their times antagonizing each other all the while fighting the confusing feelings of attraction they had for each other.

Twenty years later Blake is laid up in his mother's house with an injured leg while Cas moves back into his grandmother's old house just across the street.
Leave things up to these stubborn boys would have gotten us nowhere but thankfully Blake's totally amazing mother and Cas's aunt had no problem meddling when meddling was called for setting the guys up several times making spending time together practically unavoidable for Blake and Cas.
Which was a very good thing, because once they did, things got steaming hot very quickly. So very hot.
Now, this is no BDSM book, but it had just the right amoung of Blake being dominant and Cas more submissive in the bedroom to increase the steam level a bit further.

Just as things were moving along just perfectly, Cas is sent away for a few months on a job assignment. Separation, longing, insecurities, and the ever-present male lack of communication put a serious strain on the relationship.

This phase of the book was the only part where I got a bit angry with Cas; he knew Blake was possessive - something he had never had a problem with before, quite the contrary - and yet when Blake failed to hide his jealousy during a club night, Cas gave him the silent treatment and put all the blame for the enusing fallout on Blake.
I could have slapped Cas at this point. That guy was licking you for f... sake. You should have been worried if your boyfriend did not react to something like that.

But well, as in any decent romance novel, things obviously got solved and everything was good.
Recommended to anyone looking for a nice romantic read with some seriously hot guys and not too much angst.
