Trouble & the Wallflower

Trouble & the Wallflower - Kade Boehme This one was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. Not that it was overly dramatic, but it was quite an up and down experience.
Davy was sweet all the way. I loved him. But Gavin? Totally started out as the definition of asshole! I really hated him for quite long into the book.

He redeemed himself and I still wasn't happy. Because that is when the book turned boring. There was a stretch after half way where I had to struggle to keep my attention on the book.

Luckily, that passed as well. Things got interesting again. As in painful, nasty and ugly. I know bad things happen to good people in real life, but it is still almost shocking what parents will put their children through sometimes. And all the bad shit gave Davy a chance to really come out of his shell and stand up for Gavin when he needed it most.
It was all about your family not necessarily being the people sharing your blood, but the people who are there for you.

Overall a very good book and not the last one I'll read from this author.
